What is Real love?



"Real love doesn't meet you at your best, it meets you at your mess." I read that quote somewhere. I don't know who wrote it, but the words were so powerful that I had to remember them.

'Jab We Met' is like that one book that you had around you for quite a long time. The cover never amazed you, that's why you didn't care to open and read it. But one day you start reading it and realize how wrong you were about it! From that day on, it becomes one of your favorites!

It's a movie that makes you feel good, even you don't know how. The interesting fact about this movie is that nobody expected anything from this movie. Imtiaz Ali was a flop director, Shahid and Kareena were 'Flop King & Flop Queen' who gave many disastrous flops together. But this movie made them emerge from the ashes. Till today, the fashion and dialogues of this movie are followed with pride.

Geet! yes, Geet. That annoying girl, who made you fall for her childishness. None can fall in love with you if you don't love yourself. Girls out there, is there anyone of you who didn't use these words, "Main apni favorite hoon!" ever in your life? Don't lie. Geet was the very first girl who said it without any inhibition. Half of the problems of life would change if you start loving yourself the way Geet loves herself. Don't you think?



Many will argue, The movie is not a classic. It's okay. This is kinda movie that doesn't have to be a classic to be remembered. It has so many treats inside it for one to relate to his/real life. It might not be classic, but it's a special movie. This movie said some powerful things with such ease that none could ever thought. "Jab koi pyar mein hota hai... Toh koi sahi galat nehi hota!" Who expected that from Geet!?

The music was so fresh for that time, that we reserved them forever inside our heart. When you read the words, "Na hai yeh paana, Na khona hi hai" tell me, isn't Mohit Chauhan singing inside your head with his soulful voice? Another track, 'Aaoge Jab Tum' sang by Rashid Khan, is a masterpiece of it's own kind. All of us searched that song and listened to from Youtube at some point of our lives.

"What happens in the future is something that we don't have control over. So, i just do what my heart tells me. In the future, I don't want to blame anybody and say that my life got ruined because of you. No matter what my life becomes, I will know that it's because of me, and I'll be happy." Dialogues like these make you feel better about the choices you made in life. Gives you strength when you're broken inside. Doesn't matter if someone comes to your life makes you smile every moment and suddenly leaves you with nothing. Don't worry, it's not the end of the world, Stand up, follow your heart. It will always lead you to the happiness you deserve.

It's been 12 years, Aditya and Geet were dancing in the rain. Feeling old already?
With that magical flute tune in the background of 'Tum Se Hi' doesn't matter how many time we watch it, the scene makes us wish to fell in love with someone or to love more, whom we already have in your lives.
